Valour Sport is the official sportswear partner of NSW’s peak body for sport, Sport NSW

In a three-year deal Valour Sport will be known as the Official Clothing Partner of Sport NSW. Valour will also sponsor the Athlete of the Year award and the Community Sport Official of the Year award.

In announcing the partnership on 6 July 2016, Sport NSW Chairperson Joseph La Posta said: “Valour are a Sydney-based company wanting to support and work with sport, sporting clubs and state sporting organisations in NSW, so we can’t think of a better partner for Sport NSW in terms of offering a new opportunity for our members.”

Matthew Knight, one of Valour’s Directors, was enthusiastic about the products and services Valour Sport could provide to the sport sector in NSW.

“We are a premium sportswear manufacturer proudly supporting athletes and sports at all levels. Our expertise in design, manufacture and supply allows us to support clients and orders of all sizes. We have forged a formidable reputation in delivering high performance sportswear and customer service and look forward to working alongside Sport NSW and its vast membership of associations,” said Mr Knight.

Sport NSW is the peak body for sport in New South Wales. It operates as an independent not-for-profit organisation representing the interests of more than 80 State Sporting Organisations, 30 Local Councils and 20 industry bodies.

Sport NSW exists to support its Members and promote, strengthen and advocate for the sector so more people and communities in NSW enjoy the significant benefits sport and active recreation provides.

Sport NSW works with members to build standards industry-wide through showcasing best practice and running events such as accredited courses, workshops, and seminars focused on building the capacity and performance of member organisations, their affiliates and individuals.

Sport NSW acts on behalf of its members - representing sport at ministerial level, partnering with organisations and agencies for the benefit of industry members, and working at national level through Community Sport Australia to advocate and address key issues.

Sport NSW works with members to deliver a range of programs across female participation and in the disability inclusion space, reaching hundreds of NSW school aged participants, and the Sport NSW awards programs (NSW Community Sport Awards and NSW Sports Awards) provide a tangible means for members to recognise outstanding achievements of organisations and individuals amongst their peers in the sporting community.
