The ATN Solar Car Team is the first of its kind in Australia to compete in the Bridgestone World Solar Car challenge. It’s a collaboration of five universities - University of Technology Sydney, RMIT University, University of South Australia, QUT and Curtin University.
ATN's team manager, Anna Lidfors Lindqvist, chose Valour Sport to design their race uniform. "Valour Sport stood out as innovators of sportswear technology. We loved the fact they had the technology and design savvy to create a one-of-a-kind race uniform for the whole ATN Solar Car team - males, females, drivers, the support team and team managers."
"We're all about the environment and so is Valour. Their factory is 100% solar powered, packing boxes and tissue paper are manufactured from recycled materials and their sportswear is packaged in biodegradable bags", Anna added.
Following an early meeting with Anna and sustainable fashion designer Dr Mark Liu, Valour set about creating a collection of sportswear that would endure the harsh heat and cold nights in the Australian outback.
ATN's race uniform includes short sleeve and long sleeve polo shirts, dress shorts, sports shorts, 7/8 Ladies tights, sports socks, caps, sports bags and even camp chairs.
